Eagertrieve Labradors is a hobby kennel that was established in 1999, located 45 minutes southeast of Edmonton, Alberta Canada. We live in the beautiful Gwynne valley. Our entire property is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and trees and have easy access to take the dogs swimming without having to leave the property!
I show and breed Labradors and newly into French Bulldogs, with focus on health, beauty and preserving the true Labrador temperament. I breed labradors that not only excel in the conformation ring, but also in the field, obedience, serve as Guide Dogs, and are devoted pets.
I got my first labrador in 1997, and blossomed from there! I have enjoyed showing labradors all over Canada and the US, and have been very fortunate to have connections to allow my dogs to be shown overseas and attain championships! My litters are all thought out and planned and health being our number 1 priority. All of my breeding stock are clear by OFA on hips and elbows and eyes and I do DNA testing for Optigen(PRA) ,EIC, HNPK, CNM, DM, Long Coat Gene, Copper Toxicosis and dilute. These tests are our tools to make sure my puppies are free of the genetic conditions associated with this breed. I also do all appropriate health testing for the French Bulldogs, same rules apply 🙂
I also have a full written health guarantee and lifelong support for my puppy owners. My litters are raised with my 2 children and are socialized very well! I have many return puppy buyers and are very happy to have these relationships and to be able to provide families with very well bred healthy labradors. I do only breed the 3 recognized colors of labradors which are Black, Yellow and Chocolate.
We base our breeding program on quality and integrity for the breed! I hope you will see the devotion and passion I have for my dogs after going through my website!
